Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville is actively seeking a skilled Advanced Practice Provider to become a vital part of our esteemed oncology team.

Qualifications

  • Master of Science in Nursing or related field
  • Current certification as an APRN or PA
  • Active licensure as an APRN or PA
  • Preferred experience in surgical settings, particularly as a first assist, with skills in laparoscopic and robotic procedures.
Key Responsibilities

  • Manage 70-80% inpatient care, with 20-30% dedicated to operating room and clinic responsibilities.
  • Inpatient Duties: Conduct independent patient rounds during the acute postoperative phase, manage wound care and pain relief, collaborate with consulting physicians, oversee patient discharge processes, and evaluate new consults.
  • Operating Room: Provide support as a surgical first assist, including laparoscopic and robotic surgical assistance.
  • Outpatient Care: Assess new and returning patients in collaboration with the medical team, ensure timely completion of outpatient documentation, and perform relevant clinic procedures.
  • Work Schedule: Monday to Friday.
  • Participate in shared night and weekend on-call duties, providing home call for surgical oncology during the week and weekend coverage for urgent cases.
  • Collaborate with the colorectal surgery team for call responsibilities.
