Key Responsibilities


The Advanced Practice Provider will undertake various responsibilities in authorized settings such as clinics, hospitals, and patients' homes.

The role includes but is not limited to:

  • Collecting patient medical histories
  • Conducting comprehensive physical assessments
  • Ordering and executing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
  • Formulating diagnostic impressions
  • Developing and implementing patient treatment plans
  • Monitoring the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions
  • Providing counseling and education tailored to patient needs
  • Making appropriate referrals
  • Prescribing and dispensing medications in compliance with state laws
  • Performing minor and surgical procedures
  • Demonstrating the ability to assess and interpret patient data relevant to age-specific needs
  • Contributing to departmental process improvements and policy development
  • Participating in departmental or institutional committees as required
  • Collaborating within a team structure, including a residency program
Qualifications

We are currently seeking experienced Advanced Practice Providers with a minimum of 3 years in Family Medicine. New graduates will not be considered at this time.

For Physician Assistants:
Candidates must have graduated from a CAAHEP accredited program and hold NCCPA certification. A valid license or eligibility to practice as a PA in Florida is required.

For Nurse Practitioners:
A Master's degree in Nursing is mandatory.

(If licensed prior to 1998, a Master's degree is not required by Florida law.) Candidates must possess a current Florida Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (APRN) license or be eligible to obtain one. Certification by ANCC or AANP in a specialty area is required.

Additional Qualifications:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with strong computer proficiency.

Flexibility and willingness to handle extended hours and on-call responsibilities (including evenings, weekends, and holidays) may be necessary.


Licensure or Certification:
A valid Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license to practice in Florida is required. BLS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross) is mandatory. For Nurse Practitioners, ANCC or AANP certification is required, and for Physician Assistants, NCCPA certification is necessary.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation will be determined based on education, experience, and tenure, considering internal equity.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position with a schedule of M-F and Saturday rotation, offering options for 10-hour or 8-hour shifts.
