Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Billing Specialist to join our team at Kay Search Group. As a key member of our global law firm, you will be responsible for performing client billing and collection activities, monitoring outstanding accounts receivable, and generating and reviewing Proformas for assigned partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage client billing and collection activities, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing
  • Monitor and resolve outstanding accounts receivable, unapplied funds, and collection efforts
  • Generate and review Proformas for assigned partners, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Handle time/cost transfers, investigating appropriateness of entries
  • Prepare electronic invoices in LEDES, submitting them to clients via their designated electronic billing system
  • Establish and maintain relationships with e-billing site vendors, ensuring all timekeepers and rates are up to date
  • Track bill status, identify issues, and work to address rejections and reductions
  • Provide assistance to partners and clients regarding outstanding and/or short paid invoices

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 5+ years of billing experience within a law firm required
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to adapt to new assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office, with emphasis on Word and Excel
