Position: Assistant Healthcare Administrator
The Assistant Healthcare Administrator plays a crucial role in managing the daily operations of the designated hospital(s) and ensures the delivery of high-quality patient care. As a key member of the management team, this position is responsible for developing and assessing standards, programs, and practices that align with the organization's mission, vision, and strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve performance targets related to quality, financial metrics, and operational efficiency.
- Oversee hospital expense management while adhering to established policies and procedures regarding staffing, contracts, and supplies.
- Maintain a current Quality Assurance and Life Safety program that meets all regulatory requirements.
- Communicate operational changes and updates in departmental policies to all hospital leadership.
- Participate in strategic planning initiatives and collaborate with the regional business development team to assess and implement new services or programs.
- Foster and maintain effective working relationships with Medical Staff, Executive Management, and other Administrative Directors.
- Exhibit strong problem-solving skills and utilize professional judgment to make informed decisions.
- Provide leadership and serve as a role model by planning, organizing, coordinating, and continuously evaluating the functional areas of responsibility.
Education and Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of management experience in an administrative role or equivalent. A Bachelor's Degree is required, while a Master's Degree is preferred.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficient in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals.
- Effective presentation skills with the ability to address inquiries from various stakeholders.
- Capability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers and regulatory bodies.
- Ability to apply logical or scientific principles to a diverse range of practical and intellectual challenges.
