Role Overview:

As a Business Intelligence Team Leader, you will:

  • Oversee and guide a team dedicated to the ideation, development, and ongoing enhancement of business intelligence and reporting systems aimed at benefiting state and local education agencies.
  • Engage with clients and colleagues using a consultative approach to identify agency needs and explore opportunities to leverage data for improved outcomes, policies, and processes within the educational framework.
  • Design and refine systems that promote efficiency and enhancements in data collection, integration, and reporting at both state and agency levels.
  • Lead the regional strategy for innovation, new data solutions, and data services.
  • Equip the organization to utilize contemporary analytical and data science technologies by developing the team's skill sets, methodologies, processes, standards, and best practices.
  • Define and manage business requirement processes while maintaining comprehensive documentation.
  • Oversee the management of data dictionaries, data flow diagrams, and related documentation for various products and services.
  • Facilitate, streamline, and actively engage in testing initiatives.
  • Contribute to practice area and firm-wide initiatives focused on enhancing data engineering.
  • Support various aspects of the business cycle, including system demonstrations, proposals, and implementations.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in business administration, computer science, data science, information science, or a related field, along with relevant work experience.

At least 5 years of leadership experience, primarily in Data Strategy and Data Management.

Experience with data in the Education sector is highly advantageous, including familiarity with Common Education Data Standards (CEDS) and various interoperability standards.

Essential Skills:

  • Expertise in multiple areas of data and analytics delivery, particularly within the educational context.
  • Proficient in data analytics utilizing modern BI frameworks and relevant data mining, machine learning, and artificial intelligence techniques.
  • Ability to articulate business use cases, data sources, management concepts, and analytical approaches to diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience in strategic technology planning, execution, and policy development.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proven ability to foster teamwork, build consensus, and achieve results through collaboration.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex digital concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated integrity and ethical work practices.

Work Environment:

This is a remote position with occasional travel required for client meetings and team events.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

As a manager at PCG, you will:

  • Delegate tasks effectively to achieve business objectives.
  • Inspire, engage, and retain team members.
  • Support the development of high-performing individuals and teams.

Compensation:

Compensation for this role varies based on factors such as location, role, skill set, and experience. The expected salary range is $120,000 - $140,000, with potential discretionary bonuses. PCG also offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical and dental coverage, 401k, paid time off, parental leave, and bereavement leave.
