Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and Register Patients: Provide a warm and welcoming experience for patients, ensuring that they feel comfortable and at ease.
  • Obtain and Verify Patient Information: Collect and verify accurate patient information, including insurance and demographic details.
  • Collect and Log Co-Pays and Fees: Ensure that all co-pays and fees are collected and logged accurately.
  • Answer and Transfer Calls: Respond to incoming calls and transfer them to the relevant staff members.
  • Schedule and Coordinate Appointments: Schedule, reschedule, or cancel appointments as needed, and notify staff of any changes.
  • Provide Patient Orientation: Give patients a thorough orientation on preparatory and safety protocols, and provide directions to facilities as needed.
  • Coordinate with Back-Office Staff: Work closely with back-office staff to ensure timely and effective care of patients.
  • Safeguard Patient Property and Information: Demonstrate competency in safeguarding patient property and confidential information.
  • Respect Company Property and Patient Boundaries: Treat company property and patient boundaries with respect and professionalism.
  • Interact with Patients and Colleagues: Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with patients, families, and colleagues.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Intermediate to Advanced Computer Skills: Proficiency in computer software and systems is essential.
  • Strong Multitasking and Communication Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks and communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
  • Experience in Customer Service: Previous experience in customer service or a related field is preferred.
  • Medical Terminology Knowledge: Familiarity with medical terminology and recent experience in a medical or radiology office is an asset.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish: Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are an advantage.
