About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our team at Topcon Positioning Systems. As an Assembly Specialist, you will play a critical role in the production of our high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, diagrams, and engineering drawings to accurately assemble assigned tasks.
  • Gather tools, materials, and position parts or subassemblies using templates or reading measurements.
  • Crimps, screws, solders, or performs similar operations to join or secure parts in place.
  • Support team activities, including 5S and monthly cleaning.
  • Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.
  • Follow established procedures on routine work and work with line leaders on new assignments.
  • Understand quality efficiency and make judgments, adapting to new processes and products while maintaining attention to detail.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Minimum two years of work experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to take directions from leadership and work with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with hand tools such as strippers, crimpers, cutters, torque drivers, and basic production tools.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work under pressure and interact effectively in a team environment.
  • Applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks with little supervision.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds and torque up to 50 inches.
  • Position requires bending, carrying, kneeling, lifting, and pushing carts.
  • Some overtime required.
  • Standing work position.
  • Pick and pull material from a workstation above shoulder level.
