Topcon Positioning Systems is seeking a skilled Electromechanical Assembly Specialist to join our team in Livermore, CA. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for assembling electro-mechanical components, subassemblies, products, or systems to meet quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, and other written instructions to accurately assemble assigned tasks.
- Gather tools, materials, and position parts or subassemblies using templates or reading measurements.
- Crimp, screw, solder, or perform similar operations to join or secure parts in place.
- Support team activities, including 5S and monthly cleaning.
- Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.
- Follow established procedures on routine work and work with line leaders on new assignments.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Minimum two years of work experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to take directions from leadership and work with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with hand tools such as strippers, crimpers, cutters, torque drivers, and basic production tools.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work under pressure and interact effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 25lbs and torque up to 50-inch.
- Position requires bending, carrying, kneeling, lifting, and pushing carts.
- Some overtime required.
- Standing work position.
- Pick and pull material from workstation above shoulder level.
