Job Summary

The Legislative Policy Analyst will provide support to the HHS Administration for Children and Families (ACF), Office of Human Services, Emergency Preparedness and Response (OHSEPR). The analyst will examine legislation initiatives that affect ACF programs, develop disaster human service policy, and coordinate with organizations within ACF and throughout the federal government.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Examine legislation initiatives and provide detailed reports on potential impact
  • Develop disaster human service policy
  • Coordinate with organizations within ACF and throughout the federal government
  • Support OHSEPR policy agenda by developing and reviewing proposed legislation and proposals
  • Draft reports to Congress and responses to Congressional inquiries

Requirements:

  • Five years of experience in policy and legislative analysis, research, and technical writing
  • Master's degree in public, private paralegal studies, or business policy
  • Public Trust clearance or ability to obtain
