Job Summary

Vision House is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Lead Teacher to join our team at our brand new childcare center. As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging environment for young children, promoting their cognitive, social, and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cultivate positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
  • Develop and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum in coordination with other staff members.
  • Assess the developmental needs of individual children and make recommendations for referrals.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and healthy environment, adhering to licensing requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in child care.
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Initial Certificate or equivalent.
  • Progress towards an ECE Short Certificate within 2 years of receiving an ECE Initial Certificate.
  • Proven ability in all areas of early childhood curriculum development and implementation.
  • Christian faith and ability to sign our Statement of Faith.
  • Proof of physical exam and negative TB test.
  • First Aid/CPR card within 90 days.
  • Food Handlers Permit within 90 days.
  • Proof of HIV/Blood Borne Pathogen training within 90 days.
