Position Overview:

Wave Broadband is actively seeking a Retail Sales Representative. This role is essential in delivering exceptional customer service and support to our clientele. The representative will effectively communicate and elucidate the advantages of our targeted products to optimize sales performance. It is crucial to ensure a high standard of service quality by assisting and resolving a diverse range of customer inquiries and concerns.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Promote and sell targeted products and packages while clearly communicating pricing, channels, services, and offerings to customers.
  2. Showcase Wave's various products and services to incoming customer traffic at the retail location.
  3. Inform potential customers about current promotions and special offers.
  4. Build rapport with visitors and engage them in discussions to match them with the most suitable package for their needs.
  5. Assess customers' current service levels and introduce new services as appropriate.
  6. Gauge customer satisfaction and take necessary actions to ensure a positive experience with Wave.
  7. Seek opportunities to enhance the company's image through customer interactions. Maintain a professional appearance and show respect for customers' property.
  8. Provide prompt and accurate feedback to customer issues by enhancing personal technical knowledge of all services and equipment.
  9. Utilize billing systems and other sales tools to efficiently address customer inquiries.
  10. Resolve customer questions and concerns through active listening and clear communication.
  11. Process installation requests, service changes, and disconnects in accordance with departmental policies.
  12. Handle customer payments, issue receipts, and ensure accurate daily cash drawer balancing.
  13. Track sales progress and document productivity on provided sales forms and reports, ensuring all paperwork is complete and submitted timely.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Experience in customer support or service within a call center environment is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with customers, colleagues, and management.
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus.
  • Friendly, enthusiastic, and approachable demeanor.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of cable and data products and services.
  • Quick learner with the ability to retain new information and concepts.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to follow directions effectively.
  • Proven judgment and proactive decision-making abilities.
  • Adaptability to change is essential.
  • Experience in the cable television or telecommunications industry is preferred.

Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
