School Business Administrator Position

BelovED Community & Empowerment Academy Charter School is seeking a highly skilled Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to fill the position of School Business Administrator. This is a full-time role that requires a strong background in accounting, finance, and business operations. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience working with an accounting firm and significant experience with New Jersey public school accounting.
Key Responsibilities
The School Business Administrator will oversee the school's accounting, business operations, and finances, ensuring compliance with governing laws and regulations. This includes managing the school's budget, purchasing, contracting, and construction projects, as well as overseeing the Business Office staff. The successful candidate will also serve as Secretary to the school's Board of Trustees and work closely with the Director of Education and the Director of Operations.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, candidates must be a CPA and hold a School Business Administrator Certificate of Eligibility (CE) from the New Jersey Department of Education. Significant experience with New Jersey public school accounting is required, as well as strong writing skills to prepare financial reports and disclosure documents. The ideal candidate will have high-level transactional and interfund transfer accounting skills and be able to work in a rapidly growing enterprise.
Benefits
BelovED Community & Empowerment Academy Charter School offers a competitive salary range of $145,000-$195,000, depending on experience. The school also provides a comprehensive benefits package, including health care, retirement plan, paid time off, family leave, and training and development opportunities.
