Job Summary:The Employee Benefits Account Manager will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to assigned clients, including daily servicing of new and renewal business, and maintaining strong relationships with clients. This role will also support Producers as needed and collaborate with fellow Account Managers to devise creative solutions to meet client needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Conceptualize and implement solutions to meet client needs as to coverage and costs
- Prepare renewal submissions, including applications, exhibits, narratives, loss runs, and underwriting questions
- Collect and analyze client information, interacting with clients in a professional and timely manner
- Assist Producers with new and existing clients as needed
- Collaborate on marketing efforts, including preparing submissions, proposals, and binding coverage
- Prepare processed policies, certificates of insurance, and binders
- Assist in negotiating products and pricing on behalf of the company and clients
- Coordinate Open Enrollment for clients
- Assist Producers with new business marketing, preparing applications, submitting to markets, and preparing proposals and binding
- Participate in marketing and sales meetings
- Invoice clients for new and renewal business, prepare finance agreements, and process renewals, new policies, and policy changes
- Handle client inquiries, research, and resolve problems
- Prepare account reconciliations for receivables management
- Prepare, maintain, and verify client billings/invoices
- High school diploma or equivalent
- State required insurance license (2-15 or 2-40) or willingness to obtain
- Some college helpful
- 3+ years of insurance agency or benefits carrier experience
