24 Seven Talent is in search of a seasoned Executive Creative Director to take on the role of VP of Creative at our Michigan headquarters. As a pivotal member of the leadership team, you will report directly to the SVP of Marketing and collaborate closely with the President & CEO.

In your capacity as VP of Creative, you will oversee the internal creative department, directing art direction, content creation, copywriting, storytelling, video production, web design, performance marketing, and brand design. You are a proactive creative leader who thrives on generating and implementing impactful direct-to-consumer (DTC) experiences and campaigns. Your unique strength lies in your outstanding writing abilities paired with a sharp eye for visual aesthetics, or the other way around. With a solid foundation in eCommerce, you will creatively steer the company’s brand strategy, product marketing, growth initiatives, lifecycle management, and technical content. This role offers you the opportunity to shape the company’s voice through engaging copy and design, including launching the website and naming the next generation of products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspire and mentor a diverse creative team, including creative directors, designers, video producers, copywriters, and content creators.
  • Develop and own the strategy and vision for the DTC website experience, focusing on UX design, site architecture, and conversion optimization.
  • Lead the creation of advertising content across all performance marketing channels, utilizing both internal resources and external partnerships.
  • Collaborate with creative directors to ideate and execute comprehensive global marketing campaigns supported by significant media investments.
  • Ensure that our owned CRM channels effectively communicate our product experience while promoting our brand to both new and existing customers.
  • Establish and maintain brand identity and guidelines, ensuring cohesive design direction across all marketing platforms.
  • Launch a new brand architecture strategy for both the parent and sub-brands, along with the flagship site.
  • Direct content strategy and the production of original video content for platforms like YouTube and our official blog.
  • Contribute to go-to-market strategies by guiding brand creative direction for upcoming products, including naming conventions.
  • Work in partnership with leaders across various departments to prioritize creative support for company-wide initiatives.
  • Manage departmental budgets, resource allocation, and relationships with external agencies.
  • Provide input on creative copy and design for high-impact projects.
  • Be a passionate leader who showcases your team's best creative work while making decisions based on business impact.
  • Create compelling narratives that engage millions of unique visitors each month in a personalized manner.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Advertising, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Over 10 years of experience in creative leadership roles, ideally within in-house teams or D2C creative agencies.
  • Experience in DTC marketing is essential, particularly for brands selling directly to consumers.
  • Proven track record in managing creative execution for DTC eCommerce websites and acquisition marketing channels.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering innovative and commercially viable campaigns across multiple platforms.
  • A strong portfolio that showcases significant brand work and strategic creative thinking.
  • Experience in managing and mentoring diverse creative teams, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey creative concepts to stakeholders at all levels.
  • A passion for pets and a genuine understanding of the needs and preferences of pet owners.
  • Current cat ownership is preferred.
  • Comfortable with office pets, including cats and dogs.
