An Admissions Office Support Associate should demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, as they will be the first point of contact for all students and visitors arriving at Mid.

Responsibilities will include guiding students and guests to the appropriate departments or providing assistance when possible, directing incoming calls to the relevant offices, managing the schedule for advising appointments, offering campus tours, entering and maintaining student records and forms, and supporting the student services departments as needed.


Key Responsibilities:
Operates the Mid Michigan College switchboard.

Welcomes guests upon arrival and addresses any inquiries they may have.

Assists Admissions personnel with planning and executing events.

Conducts student-led campus tours.

Provides support to the Admissions, Academic Advising, and other Student Service departments with various office tasks.

Engages in communication efforts directed at prospective and current students, including making outgoing calls related to Admissions initiatives when necessary.

Acts as a role model for the institution's mission, vision, strategic goals, and service initiatives. Complies with the organization's policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.

Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with diverse groups including students, faculty, administrators, and community members.

Ability to maintain the confidentiality of student records and adhere to FERPA regulations.

Education, Certification, and Licensure:
A high school diploma and current enrollment as a student at Mid Michigan College is required.

Experience:
Prior experience in a customer service setting is strongly preferred.

Experience in an office environment is also preferred.

Working Environment:
The responsibilities of this position are carried out in an office setting.

Occasional travel to other college locations for meetings may be required.

There may be occasional travel for conferences or training sessions.

Work is conducted both independently and in a team atmosphere, with ongoing collaboration with team members and supervisors.

The role requires minimal physical exertion, such as walking, standing, stooping, bending, and lifting materials or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward.

Minimal discomfort due to environmental factors such as heat, dust, and noise may occur.

Work schedules may vary based on operational needs.
