POSITION SUMMARY

The role involves supporting the effective organization and operation of the Administrative departments at The Armstrong Hotel. This position is crucial in overseeing the administrative functions of the hotel, adhering to the standards and guidelines set forth by The Yarrow Group.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in managing the administrative functions across the hotel.
  • Handle accounts payable processing, departmental procurement, and maintain financial records.
  • Collaborate with the Food & Beverage team on vendor management and purchasing.
  • Support payroll processing for the management team.
  • Oversee HR-related functions within the hotel, including onboarding and offboarding.
  • Manage employee uniforms and ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Develop and implement training programs to achieve effective outcomes.
  • Create standard operating procedures (SOPs) and policies for hotel operations.
  • Ensure adherence to guest service standards and foster positive relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Facilitate effective communication within the department and across the hotel.
  • Provide feedback to management regarding operational needs.
  • Maintain quality control over supplies and equipment.
  • Participate in departmental meetings as required.
  • Align with the culture, values, and goals of The Yarrow Group.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all times.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

  1. Identify and address safety hazards promptly.
  2. Develop documentation resources such as inspection records and training materials.
  3. Support property operations as needed.
  4. Research industry trends and recommend innovative solutions.
  5. Engage in projects and programs to ensure compliance with administrative guidelines.
  6. Assist management with VIP guest services, acting as an ambassador for The Yarrow Group.

REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Comprehensive knowledge of hotel administrative operations.
  • Proven attention to detail in work processes.
  • Experience with information technology systems.
  • Familiarity with hotel operational equipment and procedures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, essential for guest and owner interactions.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with team members and department heads.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours as needed for hotel operations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound judgments.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, push, and bend as necessary.
