Position Overview

The Consumer Marketing Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing the marketing strategy for various Consumer business lines. This position is crucial for driving growth in sectors such as Community Banking, Business Banking, Consumer Lending, and Wealth Management. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand their objectives and challenges, while also working with internal and external marketing partners and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish a comprehensive vision and strategy for assigned consumer marketing lines, ensuring alignment with the broader organizational growth objectives and brand identity.
  • Lead the annual marketing planning process, ensuring collaboration with line of business partners and marketing leadership.
  • Act as the primary marketing liaison for key stakeholders, regularly engaging to understand their strategic plans and priorities.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape, including product offerings and marketing strategies.
  • Assess current product offerings against competitors and provide strategic recommendations as necessary. Oversee product development and launch processes in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Work with LOB and marketing partners to design, implement, and evaluate integrated marketing campaigns aimed at revenue generation, customer conversion, and retention.
  • Support the creation of compelling value propositions and messaging for each assigned line of business, ensuring all marketing efforts reflect these core messages.
  • Collaborate with marketing colleagues on engagement initiatives to enhance customer relationships and maximize lifetime value.
  • Partner with marketing operations and creative teams to bring campaign plans to fruition.
  • For each marketing initiative, establish, monitor, and report on key performance indicators to optimize campaign effectiveness.
  • Manage budgets for campaigns and lines of business, ensuring financial accountability and transparency.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in marketing, product management, or related leadership roles.
  • Proven ability to lead teams towards achieving set goals in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present ideas effectively.
  • Experience in influencing stakeholders and executives through data-driven marketing strategies.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and negotiate expectations diplomatically.
  • Experience in developing creative briefs and managing agency relationships.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and eager to learn new software platforms as needed.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on building capabilities and teams.
  • Strategic and analytical thinker, willing to engage in hands-on execution.

Desirable:

  • Experience in the financial services sector is a plus.
  • Strong skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with data analytics tools such as Power BI and Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
