Strategic Talent Acquisition Leader

The Talent Acquisition Supervisor will oversee the hiring and onboarding process and have a focus on employee equity, and inclusion at Kirkwood Community College (KCC). This position will continuously evaluate and develop strategies that align with the college's strategic plan.
Key Responsibilities- Budget Management: Oversee the recruitment budget and ensure effective use of resources.
- Team Leadership: Lead a team of HR professionals to oversee all hiring, onboarding, equity and inclusion initiatives at KCC.
- Policy Compliance: Ensure hiring and selection policies comply with KCC's policies, contractual obligations, and local/federal law.
- Equal Opportunity Checks: Conduct equal opportunity checks for hire selections.
- Equity and Inclusion Strategies: Assist in developing and implementing equity and inclusion strategies at KCC.
- H1B and Sponsorship Process: Manage the H1B and sponsorship process for applicants and employees.
- I9 Compliance: Oversee the compliance with I9s.
- College Affirmative Action Plan: Ensure that the College Affirmative Action plan is current, effective, and being followed.
- Sourcing Channels and Recruiting Budget: Evaluate sourcing channels and oversee the recruiting budget to optimize candidate pipelines.
- Employment Branding: Market KCC to prospective applicants, lead employment branding initiatives, Organize and/or attend career fairs or other events.
- Compensation and Job Descriptions: Assist with compensation including tracking open positions and placing Faculty wages, and help ensure that job descriptions are accurate and current.
- Technical Skills: Demonstrated knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office software as demonstrated by prior Human Resource Experience required.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and oral communication skills and reading comprehension skills, as demonstrated by prior experience preparing and presenting material to HR colleagues to advance HR goals.
- Independence and Supervision: Ability to work independently or with little supervision, as demonstrated by prior employment experience involving projects of progressive responsibility.
