LOCATION: Clarksville, TN
ROLE SUMMARY AND OBJECTIVES
Reports to: Manufacturing Supervisor
Direct Reports: N/A
Key Relationships:
Internal: Supervisor, SAM, Director, Peers
Geographic Scope: Local
Travel Requirements: N/A
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set up, operate, and oversee product filling machinery according to detailed operational guidelines.
- Provide appropriate packaging materials to the department following scheduling protocols and brand specifications.
- Utilize MES/Ignition electronic systems with the correct control devices.
- Inspect tobacco filling machinery to guarantee proper functioning and adherence to quality standards.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to ensure correct materials and equipment usage.
- Alert supervision and quality control when products or materials deviate from specifications.
- Navigate and monitor MES, HMI, and touch screens, ensuring accurate data entries.
- Operate industrial lift trucks and scissor lifts to manage material supply in compliance with safety regulations.
- Maintain appropriate levels of materials in hoppers to support continuous production.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE
- Previous experience in manufacturing machinery operation is preferred.
- Flexibility to work any shift is essential.
- Must meet certification requirements for lift trucks, forklifts, and scissor lifts as applicable.
- Willingness to learn and retain knowledge about various responsibilities and departmental protocols.
- Mechanical and mathematical skills are necessary.
- Basic computer proficiency is required.
- Strong oral and written communication abilities.
- Attention to detail, proactive approach, and effective follow-through are critical.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Physical capabilities include walking, climbing, stooping, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Visual acuity to differentiate colors and text on products is necessary.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with tobacco processing and packaging machinery.
- Familiarity with MES, Ignition, and touch screen navigation.
