Position Summary: VetJobs is currently in search of a Maintenance Engineer for a cutting-edge manufacturing facility.

This position involves working independently alongside the Production team.

The Maintenance Engineer will oversee the comprehensive upkeep and repair of machinery and equipment within the facility, ensuring optimal operation and adherence to safety protocols.

The role requires close collaboration with various departments to reduce downtime and enhance equipment reliability.

This position offers exciting growth potential as the company aims to broaden its operational presence.

In this capacity, you will serve as a maintenance technical authority, devising maintenance strategies, procedures, and training to assist our operations team in achieving key performance metrics related to safety, quality, and cost efficiency.


This role is full-time and is not remote.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance Engineering:

Examine project documentation, including P&ID, wiring diagrams, and installation manuals, provided by the expansion team and equipment suppliers to ensure safe operations and lead the technical aspects of project reliability.

Maintain precise records for equipment and maintenance activities to reflect the latest updates.
Remove outdated or irreparable machinery
Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
Provide hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting solutions, including managing contractors for all maintenance-related issues.
Utilize computerized maintenance management systems to track work requests and maintenance records.
Diagnose equipment and system failures.
Oversee the maintenance budget and manage departmental expenditures.
Engage with other engineers on-site and within the multinational organization to exchange knowledge on plant operations and technologies.
Respond to emergency callouts as required.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Data Analysis:
Evaluate equipment system data to pinpoint potential issues and enhance performance.
Conduct risk assessments and procure necessary components and supplies.

Budget Management:
Prepare maintenance and budget reports for management review.

Safety Compliance:
Adhere to HSSE standards to ensure a safe working environment and be accountable for all assigned critical activities.
Fulfill the role of Authorized Applicant and/or Authorized Engineer as per Permit to Work requirements.

Experience Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in maintaining manufacturing equipment within the Chemical or Petrochemical sectors.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, and participate in on-call rotations.

Strong background in the engineering, maintenance, and operation of static mechanical equipment in powder processing facilities is highly desirable.


Travel Expectations:
Occasional travel may be required for this role.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in remote collaboration and risk management in operational settings.
Demonstrated success in multi-functional engineering improvements.
Familiarity with equipment design, operational troubleshooting, and vendor collaboration.
