About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join our team in California. As an HR Business Partner, you will play a critical role in supporting the success of our BioLife Plasma Services network. You will work closely with district and center management to coordinate, implement, and monitor HR programs and policies across various plasma center locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • HR Program Management
    • Support the development and implementation of HR programs and policies to drive business results and improve employee engagement.
    • Partner with district and center management to identify and address talent development needs.
  • Employee Relations
    • Manage employee relations issues, including employee complaints, harassment allegations, and work/performance issues, while ensuring legal compliance.
    • Investigate issues, make recommendations, and take appropriate action.
  • Talent Development
    • Develop and implement training programs to support employee development and growth.
    • Partner with district and center management to identify and address talent development needs.
  • Leave of Absence Management
    • Manage leave of absence processes, including FMLA, short-term disability, and personal leave of absence.
    • Provide support to employees and managers during leave of absence processes.
  • Other HR Projects
    • Support other HR projects and initiatives as assigned.

Requirements

  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience
    • Minimum 3-5 years Human Resources generalist experience required with California employment law and employee relations experience.
    • Human Resources experience in the health care or pharmaceutical industry preferred.
  • Skills
    • Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
    • Willingness to travel to various BioLife locations up to 40-50% including overnight trips.
