Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled HR Business Partner to join our team at Wilshire Law Firm. As an HR Business Partner, you will play a critical role in supporting the daily functions of our Human Resource department, including interviewing and hiring staff, benefits, leave, enforcing company policies and practices, and offboarding.

Key Responsibilities
  • HR Program Administration
    • Administer the administration of HR programs such as compensation, benefits and leave, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, performance and productivity, recognition and morale, occupational health and safety, and training and development.
  • Compliance and Reporting
    • Track and document compliance with training, continuing education, and work assessments.
  • HR Initiatives and Support
    • Support HR initiatives and reinforce company policies, rules, and procedures.
  • Timekeeping and Attendance
    • Monitor timekeeping and produce attendance reports.
  • HR Operations
    • Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute HR programs.
  • Employee Onboarding
    • Assist with orientation, onboarding, and processes new hire paperwork.
  • Employee Records
    • Maintain physical and digital employee files, including onboarding, benefits, and attendance records.
  • Employee Inquiries
    • Handle employment-related inquiries from candidates and employees.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • At least 2 years of human resource experience required.
    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
    • Must be detail-oriented and very organized.
    • Superb time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
    • Ability to act with integrity and professionalism while exercising discretion.
    • Understanding of employment-related laws and regulations.
    • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS.
    • SHRM-CP a strong plus.
  • Work Environment
    • Reliably commute to or planning to relocate to Los Angeles, CA.
    • Up to 20% travel required within the Southern California region.
