Position Responsibilities:

  • Execute all tasks sequentially from the prep list provided by the kitchen manager.
  • Organize and label all ingredients on accessible shelves for efficient use.
  • Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and sorting items such as fruits, vegetables, and proteins.
  • Accurately measure seasonings and other cooking components.
  • Assist in preliminary cooking processes such as parboiling and sauce reduction.
  • Maintain cleanliness by washing dishes, cooking utensils, and sanitizing the kitchen area.
  • Follow all applicable nutrition and sanitation regulations diligently.
  • Monitor ingredient inventory and collaborate with kitchen and management staff for resupply needs.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred prior experience in the hospitality industry.
  • Knowledge of plating techniques is essential.
  • Ability to adhere to sanitation standards is required.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, production-oriented kitchen environment is advantageous.
  • Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Professional demeanor and responsible conduct at all times.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage with customers and team members.
  • Attention to detail and a solid understanding of hospitality practices.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage time efficiently.
  • Willingness to foster a positive team culture.
  • Fluency in additional languages is a plus.

Job Requirements:

  • A minimum of one year of experience in a kitchen prep role.
  • Availability for a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Possession of a valid Food Handler's certification.
