Medical Laboratory Specialist

Catholic Health Service is seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of patient care by performing a variety of laboratory tests and procedures.
Responsibilities- Establish and monitor quality control policies and procedures to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
- Correlate laboratory methods and procedures with patient test results and age-specific population criteria.
- Develop and implement service priorities and workflow patterns to ensure efficient delivery of services.
- Evaluate departmental performance and recommend measures to improve services and quality of current methodologies.
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related science from an accredited school.
- Licensed under the NYS Dept of Education as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
- Knowledge of hematology, chemistry, blood bank, and/or microbiology preferred.
- Hospital experience desired.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.
