Catholic Health Service is seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our team. As a Medical Laboratory Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of laboratory results.

Responsibilities:
  • Establish and monitor quality control policies and procedures to ensure accurate and reliable laboratory results.
  • Correlate laboratory methods and procedures with patient test results and age-specific population criteria.
  • Address safety and psychological needs in planning or delivering care.
  • Establish and implement service priorities, workflow patterns, and monitor workflow to ensure prompt and efficient delivery of services.
  • Evaluate departmental performance and recommend measures to improve services and quality of current methodologies.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related science from an accredited school.
  • Licensed under the NYS Dept of Education as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
  • Knowledge of hematology, chemistry, blood bank, and/or microbiology preferred.
  • Hospital experience desired.
  • Good oral and written communication skills essential.
