About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Business Valuation to lead our valuation team at McCulloh Consulting. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing complex valuation engagements, developing and reviewing financial models, and providing expert financial analysis and insights to clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Valuation Engagement Management: Lead and manage valuation engagements for financial reporting, tax compliance, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic planning.
  • Financial Modeling: Develop and review complex financial models, including DCF analyses, OPM market multiple analyses, and other valuation methodologies.
  • Client Reporting: Prepare and present detailed valuation reports to clients and stakeholders, providing expert financial analysis and insights.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial statements, transactions, and business records to identify discrepancies and potential issues.
  • Litigation Support: Support litigation processes by preparing valuation reports and providing expert testimony as needed.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, developing proposals and leading business development initiatives.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and develop a team of valuation professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field. MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Experience: 12 years of experience in business valuation with a demonstrated track record of success.
  • Certifications: One or more of the following professional certifications are highly desirable: CVA, ABV, ASA, or similar.
  • Skills: Strong business development experience, forensic accounting, litigation support, and expert testimony experience are a plus.
  • Attributes: Excellent analytical skills, ability to manage multiple projects, exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, and a proven ability to build rapport and credibility with clients and colleagues.
