Drive Revenue Growth as an Account Executive at Cision

At Cision, we're committed to empowering our customers' success stories. As an Account Executive, you'll play a pivotal role in driving profitable revenue growth through the acquisition of new logos. This tele-prospecting role will target small and medium-sized organizations, uncovering their communication needs and overall strategy to onboard new clients with a membership to PR Newswire and a solution that aligns with their concept.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Meet or exceed revenue targets by developing and executing effective sales strategies.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for prospect development and acquisition, leveraging package selling in distribution and monitoring to drive growth.
  • Demonstrate strong objection-handling and negotiation skills to overcome competitive market challenges and negotiate new client contracts.
  • Prospect and generate leads through cold calling, networking, company-support campaigns, and referrals.
  • Identify prospect needs and recommend solutions to meet their requirements.
  • Conduct sales presentations to potential customers and maintain a sales database in Salesforce.
  • Perform follow-up calls and effectively manage the sales pipeline.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support throughout the sales process.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth implementation and delivery of products and services.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitors, and market developments to inform sales strategies.
  • Meet or exceed revenue quota and key performance indicators as established by leadership.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Based in Cleveland, Ohio, with the ability to work in the office and flexibility to work hours in accordance with company needs.
  • Strong prospecting and networking skills with the ability to generate leads and build relationships.
  • Ability to work effectively in high-pressure, competitive, and multiple-task environments.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote or field-based role.
  • Polished written and verbal communication skills to engage prospects and differentiate Cision's services and value proposition.
  • Expert knowledge of PRN products and industry acumen.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a drive to exceed sales targets.
  • 1-2 years of successful B2B sales experience with a proven track record of achieving 100% of sales plan consistently, maintaining accurate sales reporting and forecasting, and demonstrating Cision values and supporting DEI initiatives.
