Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Restaurant General Manager - Task Force to join our team at SSP. As a key member of our airport restaurant operations, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of multi-unit restaurant operations, including front-of-house and kitchen activities, food quality and safety, cost control, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise General Managers' performances, ensuring proper completion of assigned tasks and goals, and provide feedback and disciplinary action as needed.
  • Ensure food quality and standards, maintain recipe adherence and portion control, and ensure compliance with company, brand, and food safety specifications.
  • Optimize food and labor costs to maximize profitability.
  • Recruit, train, and communicate with a team of Food Travel Experts, develop and assign daily goals, tasks, and assignments, and implement and maintain guest service standards and brand specifications.
  • Maintain adherence to all company policies and procedures, as well as state health and sanitation standards.
  • Handle tasks such as management of funds and media, receiving, inventory, purchasing, scheduling, and payroll.
  • Assist in monitoring sales performance through the analysis of sales reports and comparison shopping.
  • Address routine issues and escalate complex problems to higher management as necessary.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, associate's degree or equivalent coursework preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience as a restaurant general manager in a full-service restaurant with a managed sales volume of $3M or greater.
  • 1+ years of experience as a multi-unit restaurant manager with oversight of GMs in a full-service restaurant with a managed sales volume of $15M or greater with direct or shared P&L responsibility.
  • 5+ years in restaurant/food service in a management/supervisory capacity.
  • Full Service and/or Quick Service restaurant experience preferred.
  • Culinary background is desirable.
  • Relevant certifications include Food Handlers' Card.
  • Proficient level of computer literacy, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), and Point-of-Sale (POS) systems.
  • Ability to interact at all levels, including with executives, union representatives, and diverse hourly team members.
