Position Overview

We are seeking an Operations Task Lead to support a critical environment for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). This role involves managing a user base of approximately 75,000 individuals utilizing CBP-approved operating systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, test, and implement the ADB and SAW baseline FISMA system image, along with various baseline images for diverse business scenarios, including standard, lite, ultra-lite, and kiosk mode images, deployable on both physical and virtual platforms.
  • Oversee Active Directory and Azure Active Directory management, including the engineering and deployment of enterprise-level and Organizational Unit (OU) Group Policy Objects (GPO).
  • Provide comprehensive support for the development and maintenance of a secure Zero Trust Windows and MacOS image, employing technology concepts and configuration policies.
  • Assess, validate, and integrate workstation modifications to ensure compliance with specifications, documenting any issues in CBP tracking systems.
  • Maintain and update the software distribution systems for Windows and MacOS, ensuring seamless deployment of applications with minimal disruption to user productivity.
  • Manage the configuration of MECM distribution points, Management Points, Windows Server Update Services, and related infrastructure components.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Lead and coordinate operational activities, providing valuable insights for management processes.
  • Administer Active Directory, Azure AD, MECM, and other related systems in accordance with established baseline configurations.

Qualifications

Computer Systems Analyst with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Educational qualifications may be substituted based on experience.

Clearance Requirements

  • Must pass a CBP Background Investigation.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds. Vision capabilities must include close and distance vision, depth perception, and color vision.
  • May require extensive mobility within office environments and the use of a vehicle for local travel.
