Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electric Power Sales Representative to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for promoting and selling our heavy machinery and equipment solutions to customers in an assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct sales and marketing activities in an assigned territory to promote and sell heavy machinery and equipment solutions.

  • Maintain close liaison and frequent communications with customers to develop new business and grow existing relationships.

  • Coordinate and cooperate with various departments to accomplish job objectives.

  • Organize daily activities to call on as many prospects as possible and locate new business opportunities.

  • Makes face-to-face customer calls at an average of 4 or more per day to present sales literature and brochures.

  • Contacts potential customers by telephone when face-to-face calls are not practical.

  • Calls on all assigned accounts at least once each year to maintain relationships and identify new business opportunities.

  • Presents equipment features and benefits to customers in person and determines additional information needed to meet customer's specific needs.

  • Provides written summaries that include cost benefits to customers by purchasing our equipment and the equipment features and benefits compared to similar competition.

  • Attends bid openings when appropriate to learn results of certain key projects being bid by customers.

  • Maintains frequent communications with the Product Support Sales Representative (PSSR) to exchange customer information.

  • Creates pro forma financial analysis of customer expected returns and financing options when required.

  • Submits required territory data to management in a timely manner.

  • Attends and participates in team strategic sales meetings and trade organizations.

  • Coordinates and attends delivery of each new or used machine sold.

  • Follows up with customers after sale to ensure machine acceptance and satisfaction.

  • Up to 20% local and regional travel required.

  • Operates company or personal vehicle as needed.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree from a fully accredited college in Business, Sales, or Marketing or other closely related field.

  • Minimum of four years of directly related experience, preferably in a heavy industrial environment.

  • Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.

Compensation

The pay for this position is $60,000.00. We also offer a total compensation package in addition to base salary. In addition to the base pay, this position also participates in a commission plan.
