Job Overview

Metropolitan Management Company is seeking a detail-oriented and part-time property management professional to join our team as an Assistant Property Manager in the First Hill area of Seattle. We are a well-established property management company that manages desirable multi-family apartment buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Market and lease available units, including creating and posting ads, responding to rental inquiries, and conducting unit showings
  • Prepare and execute rental agreements, including move-in and move-out inspections in a timely manner
  • Maintain all digital files in the property management software system
  • Collect rent, including communicating with residents on payment plans, posting notices, and following up on late rents
  • Respond to residents with maintenance requests, and schedule vendors or maintenance personnel
  • Oversee vendors who perform maintenance and cleaning in the building
  • Interact with residents, vendors, peers, and corporate team members with a friendly and positive attitude
  • Perform routine property walks to ensure maintenance and custodial issues are promptly addressed
  • Respond to incoming communication within 24 hours
  • Have availability to assist residents in the event of after-hours emergencies
Requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Knowledge of safety and protocols
  • Basic understanding of minor and major maintenance needs
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Flexibility with schedule
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Experience with property management software preferred
  • Property management or real estate experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of Washington State Landlord Tenant Law preferred
