Position Overview: Member Services Representative

The Member Services Representative (MSR) role at Planet Fitness is not just a job; it is a pathway to personal growth, leadership, and career advancement while contributing to a vibrant community. Our MSRs are the cornerstone of our success, responsible for creating and maintaining the unique atmosphere that distinguishes Planet Fitness in the fitness sector. Key Responsibilities:
  • Welcome members, prospective members, and guests, ensuring an outstanding customer experience.
  • Uphold the principles of the Judgement Free Zone.
  • Maintain a friendly demeanor and provide courteous service.
  • Conduct tours for prospective members.
  • Manage all front desk operations, including:
    • Answering phone calls in a friendly manner and assisting with various inquiries.
    • Checking members into the system.
    • Facilitating new member sign-ups.
    • Guiding prospective members on tours.
    • Assisting members with downloading the PF Mobile App.
  • Update member accounts as necessary.
  • Address member questions and concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues to management when needed.
  • Complete assigned cleaning tasks.
  • Promote sales of tanning products and memberships.
  • Build connections within the community.
Qualifications:
  • Preferred background in customer service.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • A genuine passion for fitness and health.
  • Positive and energetic attitude.
  • Sales experience is a plus.
  • Punctuality and reliability are essential.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to engage positively and professionally with members and colleagues.
  • Strong listening skills, with the ability to empathize and resolve issues.
  • Exhibit professionalism in all interactions, using appropriate language and behavior.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • CPR Certification (AED/First Aid/CPR) is required.
Physical Requirements:
  • Frequent standing and walking during shifts.
  • Regular communication in person or via phone.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.

Compensation: $16.50 per hour
