Aviation Infrastructure Project Leader

Mead & Hunt, a prominent professional services consulting firm, is on the lookout for seasoned project managers specializing in aviation infrastructure to enhance our dynamic and collaborative aviation team.

This role offers opportunities in various locations across Georgia and South Carolina.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead project teams in the development and execution of aviation projects.
  • Oversee project scope, schedules, and resource allocation.
  • Mentor and guide project staff while fostering collaboration with clients and partner agencies.
  • Address complex airport enhancement challenges through effective communication and innovative engineering strategies.

Technical Duties:

  • Prepare comprehensive reports, budgets, cost estimates, specifications, plans, schedules, studies, and permits related to airport planning and engineering design.
  • Engage proactively with clients regarding FAA programming and liaise with state and government agencies.
  • Conduct QA/QC tasks and support onsite project engineers during construction phases.
  • Travel may be necessary for project-related activities.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree or higher in civil engineering or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required, with the ability to obtain in Georgia.

Preferred Experience:

  • Leading airport design initiatives.
  • Serving as a project manager for airport planning and design undertakings.
  • Mentoring engineering project teams.
  • Drafting scopes of work, fee structures, contracts, plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Conducting QA/QC reviews.
  • Acting as Project Engineer on construction assignments.
  • Engaging in business development efforts.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Compensation: Salary range is between $125,000 and $180,000, with actual compensation varying based on experience, skill set, and location.
