Job Summary

The Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (ePMO) at L.A. Care Health Plan is responsible for managing the oversight of strategic programs and projects approved and budgeted by the organization's leadership. As a Portfolio Delivery Project Manager III, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely execution of programs and projects on the enterprise portfolio developed in support of L.A. Care's strategic direction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of assigned projects, leading project teams in creating project-level artifacts as defined by the ePMO Shared Services.
  • Maintain accurate project execution data within the PPM systems and ensure all project artifacts are centralized within the project site document repository.
  • Provide timely and accurate status reports and proactively escalate issues for resolution.
  • Lead complex project cross-functionally, facilitating the definition of project scope, goals, benefits, and deliverables.
  • Develop full-scale project plans utilizing the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology.
Requirements
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in Project Management within a Managed Care Organization or Top 10 management consulting role in the Healthcare industry.
  • Experience facilitating complex decision-making among multiple executive stakeholders with different interests and priorities.
  • Experience in managing, motivating, mentoring staff, and conflict resolution.
  • Knowledge of managed care health insurance industry with preference given to applicants with strong experience in Medicaid and Medicare managed care.

  • Master's Degree
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
