Job Summary

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a unique blend of technical expertise and leadership skills. As a Project Inspector/Construction Manager III, you will be responsible for ensuring that construction projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect construction projects to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and codes.
  • Coordinate with contractors, architects, and engineers to resolve issues and ensure project progress.
  • Develop and implement project schedules, budgets, and quality control plans.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and identify potential issues.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure project goals are met.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including reports and records.

Requirements

  • 8 years of experience in construction management, preferably in commercial and public facilities.
  • BS or BA in Architecture, Engineering, Urban Planning, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • DSA Class 1 Inspector Certification (Active).
  • Experience with Division of the State Architect (DSA) construction/design processes.
  • 1 year of experience in supervision or inspection of engineering construction work.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex construction blueprints.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and web-based program management software.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM).
  • Experience with Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certified projects and/or the Collaborative for High Performing Schools (CHPS).
  • Experience in a public higher education capital improvement program.
  • Experience in alternative delivery methods.
  • A valid Certified Construction Manager (CCM) credential by the Construction Manager Certification Institute (CMCI).
