Job Title: Packaging Department Manager

At Florida Crystals / ASR Group, we are seeking an experienced Packaging Department Manager to lead our packaging operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing all packaging and operations in a safe, environmentally responsible, quality-focused, and financially responsible manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review daily packaging operations with the packaging team to ensure overall throughput, efficiency, product requirements, and production schedules are met.
  • Develop and implement plans to improve performance, drive continuous improvement, and build technical depth and leadership capability.
  • Develop and maintain a good working climate by developing a team, conducting performance evaluations, and establishing performance goals.
  • Manage union relationships and grievances with Human Resources.
Requirements:
  • 6 or more years of experience leading a high-speed packaging operation.
  • Experience working in a unionized environment.
  • Experience working in a CPG or Food Manufacturing environment.
  • Experience leading a large work group of 75+ employees.
  • Prior continuous improvement experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise, coach, and train employees.
  • Proficient with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of sound HSSE practices and experience with quality systems (ISO, SQF, etc.).
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays, if appropriate.
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college; or equivalent experience.
