Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Genetic Counselor to join our team at the Memory and Aging Center. The successful candidate will work closely with medical providers to evaluate patients and families at high risk for neurodegenerative disease.
Key Responsibilities- Provide genetic counseling to patients and families at high risk for neurodegenerative disease
- Work closely with medical providers to evaluate patients and develop treatment plans
- Participate in research studies and contribute to the development of new treatments
- Track data and report outcomes
- Master's degree from a recognized genetic counseling program or equivalent combination of education and experience
- At least one year of experience in genetic counseling (post-master's degree)
- Board eligible or board certified in genetic counseling by the American Board of Medical Genetics
- Licensed Genetic Counselor in the State of California
- Background in neurodegenerative disease
- Experience with the provision of genetic counseling in a clinical research setting
