Genetic Counselor II

We are seeking a highly skilled Genetic Counselor II to join our team at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). As a Genetic Counselor II, you will play a critical role in the evaluation of patients and families at high risk for neurodegenerative disease.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with medical providers to evaluate patients and families at high risk for neurodegenerative disease
- Participate in research and teaching objectives, tracking data and reporting outcomes
- Design, conduct, and publish research projects
- Master's degree from a recognized genetic counseling program or equivalent combination of education and experience
- At least one year of experience in genetic counseling (post-master's degree)
- Board eligible or board certification in genetic counseling by the American Board of Medical Genetics
- Licensed Genetic Counselor in the State of California
- Computer skills and basic statistics knowledge
- Strong writing, oral communication, and people skills
- Background in neurodegenerative disease
- Experience with the provision of genetic counseling in a clinical research setting
