Nationwide Insurance and Financial Services is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Personal Lines Claims team as a Personal Lines Claims Intern. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the claims process and develop valuable skills in customer service, communication, and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the disposition of claims according to claims best practices.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Learn about determining proper policy coverages and assist with investigations, evaluations, and estimates in alignment with company guidelines.
  • Build knowledge of Personal Lines physical damage claims, current guidelines in the claims function, and policy changes and modifications.
  • Initiate and conduct follow-ups using the claims handling system or other related systems.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Finance, Risk Management, Insurance, or related field.
  • Completion of sophomore or junior year is preferred.
  • Involvement in student activities and/or some work experience.
