Position Summary

As a General Manager of Retail Dining, you will oversee the operations of the dining account, ensuring adherence to the established budget while fulfilling client expectations. Your role will involve nurturing positive relationships with staff, clients, and guests, as well as collaborating with various departments within the organization. You will be instrumental in promoting the professional development of your team and ensuring seamless integration of dining services with operational plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead employee meetings, performance reviews, and training initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Manage food costs while upholding quality standards.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with staff, clients, and guests.
  • Oversee financial management, including reporting, budgeting, and cash handling.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Manage purchasing and inventory processes.
  • Collaborate with chefs to plan menus.
  • Implement HACCP controls and ensure proper food storage and usage.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years in retail food service, with at least 3 years in a management role.
  • Experience in personnel management, including hiring and training.
  • Proven ability to meet company objectives while adhering to policies.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Capability to multitask and maintain focus amidst interruptions.
  • Experience in food purchasing and inventory management.
  • Ability to develop budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Knowledge of cash handling and reconciliation processes.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations related to food service.
  • Exceptional business etiquette and client relationship management.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Experience in catering is essential.
  • Commitment to integrity and ethical standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • ServSafe or Department of Health certification is a plus.
