Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Engineer to join our team at Harper General Contractors. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting Project Managers and Superintendents in creating a safe work environment, building a quality project, and ensuring projects are completed on schedule while earning a fair and reasonable profit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in overseeing project operations and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with trade partners and vendors to ensure timely and efficient project delivery.
  • Develop and implement recovery strategies to maintain project schedule and budget.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality and consistency of work.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records and reports, including timesheets and daily logs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 rotations as Intern or Co-Op in the construction industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Procore, with experience in construction management software a plus.
Work Environment

This role will require regular walking over varied terrain, climbing, stooping, bending, and lifting. Lifting requirements will vary from minimal loads to heavy, but help will always be available with heavier loads.

Inspection for quality, consistency, and completeness of work will frequently require climbing ladders, stairs, and scaffolding.

Travel Requirements

Travel to/from multiple jobsites, projects, and offices will be required, with little overnight or weekend travel.
