Job Overview

As an Assistant Project Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the successful execution of commercial construction projects. Working closely with the Project Manager, you will assist in overseeing all aspects of project planning, coordination, and implementation, ensuring that our projects meet quality, safety, schedule, and budgetary goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Project Manager in coordinating and managing all phases of commercial construction projects, including site preparation, construction, and completion.
  • Help prepare project schedules, budgets, and progress reports to ensure timely and within-budget project delivery.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project milestones are met and expectations are exceeded.
  • Track project costs, process change orders, and maintain financial health of the project to ensure profitability and efficiency.
  • Support the day-to-day management of job sites, ensuring safety standards and regulations are strictly followed and adhered to.
  • Assist in resolving issues that may arise during construction to keep projects on track and on schedule.
  • Participate in site meetings, inspections, and the preparation of project documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with the design and preconstruction teams to ensure project scope and expectations are met and exceeded.
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment to the job site to minimize delays and optimize project efficiency.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred but not required).
  • 2+ years of experience in construction, with exposure to commercial projects such as Senior Living, Multi-Family, or Healthcare.
  • Familiarity with project management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, or MS Project.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • A keen eye for detail and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and with multiple stakeholders.
