Position: Traffic Management Plan Specialist

Company Overview: DFM Development Services is seeking to expand our team with a dedicated Traffic Management Plan Specialist. This role is essential in supporting our diverse consulting operations tailored for real estate developers in the Metro DC area.

Role Expectations: The selected candidate will be expected to engage with Traffic Control Plans (TCPs) from the outset, producing drafts for review and permit submissions. In instances where site plan CAD files are unavailable, the specialist will be responsible for creating new backgrounds. They will serve as the primary liaison for clients across the DC Metro region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop traffic control and maintenance plans for right-of-way permits across various local jurisdictions.
  • Engage directly with clients, ensuring effective and professional communication with developers, contractors, and jurisdictional reviewers.
  • Possess a solid understanding of the construction process.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals and deliverables.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently throughout all phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain oversight of project scope, timelines, and budgets.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of three years of experience in traffic design or civil engineering within a professional environment.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution is preferred.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, and PDF tools.
  • Strong reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification is a plus.
