About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Nurse to join our Hematology/Oncology team at Children's Hospital & Medical Center. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Care Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of patients with hematological and oncological disorders, develop individualized care plans, and implement evidence-based interventions to promote optimal patient outcomes.
  • Clinical Expertise: Demonstrate expertise in the care of pediatric patients with hematological and oncological conditions, including leukemia, sickle cell disease, and endocrine disorders.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to provide comprehensive care and coordinate patient transitions.
  • Education and Support: Provide education and support to patients and families, addressing their unique needs and concerns, and promoting empowerment and self-advocacy.
  • Documentation and Quality Improvement: Maintain accurate and timely documentation, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a pediatric setting, with a focus on hematology/oncology preferred.
  • Certifications: Current and valid RN license, Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) certifications required.
