About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric Unit at Children's Hospital & Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our young patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify their individualized care needs and develop effective plans of care.
  • Implement and evaluate nursing actions in accordance with the individualized patient plan of care and patient condition/needs.
  • Document patient information accurately and thoroughly, including assessment data, interventions, and patient responses.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care and communication.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and advancements in pediatric nursing.
Requirements
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Minimum 1 year of RN experience, preferably in a pediatric setting.
  • Current and valid Nebraska RN license/RN Compact license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification within 180 days.
  • NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation certification (NICU only) within 180 days.
  • ACLS certification within 9 months of hire (Cath Lab only).
  • ENPC - Emergency Nursing Pediatric Certification (ED only) within 1 year.
  • TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course certification (ED only) within 1 year.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current and valid certification in nursing specialty.
  • CPN - Certified Pediatric Nurse certification.
