Job Summary

Children's Hospital & Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Staff Nurse to join our team. As a Pediatric Staff Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care to our young patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct individualized age-specific patient/family assessments to identify care needs and develop individualized plans of care.
  • Implement and evaluate nursing actions in accordance with the individualized patient/family plan of care and patient condition/needs.
  • Provide and/or coordinate with other disciplines patient/family education according to identified care needs, considering assessment of patient/family's readiness to learn.
  • Document accurate assessment/evaluation, modification, and patient's response to therapy, changes in condition, and therapeutic interventions/procedures.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to individualize appropriate goals and actions for the patient, including collaboration with the family and the healthcare team.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree from an accredited school of nursing or Bachelor's Degree from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Minimum 1 year of RN experience.
  • Experience with pediatric patients preferred.
  • Previous experience with EPIC preferred.
  • Current and valid Nebraska RN license/RN Compact license.
  • BCLS - Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association.
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 180 Days.
  • NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation (NICU only) within 180 Days.
  • ACLS within 9 months of hire (Cath Lab only).
  • ENPC - Emergency Nursing Pediatric Certification (ED only) within 1 Year.
  • TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course (ED only) within 1 Year.
