Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our pediatric team at Omaha Children's Hospital. As a Staff RN, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the hospital's mission of delivering the best possible outcomes for children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients and develop individualized care plans to address their unique needs.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, and monitor patients' responses to interventions.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families, promoting health literacy and empowerment.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based practices.
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Nebraska or compact state licensure.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 180 days of hire.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) certification within 180 days of hire (NICU only).
  • ACLS certification within 9 months of hire (Cath Lab only).
  • Emergency Nursing Pediatric Certification (ENPC) within 1 year of hire (ED only).
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) within 1 year of hire (ED only).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in pediatric nursing, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Current certification in a nursing specialty, such as CPN or CCRN.
