Job Summary:
Yale University is seeking a highly skilled Senior Licensing Compliance Manager to join our team. As a key member of our licensing team, you will be responsible for ensuring licensee compliance with all obligations set forth in agreements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective compliance strategies to ensure licensee adherence to agreement terms
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to establish and maintain strong internal controls, providing assurance of resource use and compliance
- Coordinate with external partners to manage agreement compliance, including review of potential licensee companies for Export Control management
- Manage reporting requirements to external university offices, ensuring timely and accurate submissions
- Collaborate with licensees on financial and non-financial obligations, providing guidance and support as needed
- Ensure database accuracy and perform routine database management, maintaining up-to-date records and reports
- Lead team members on inventor distribution agreement processes, providing guidance and oversight
- Collaborate closely with Yale Ventures team members on budget and revenue forecast, ensuring alignment with university goals
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including licensees, vendors, and university offices
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices, applying knowledge to improve compliance processes and procedures
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and five or more years of relevant experience in licensing compliance, agreement management, or a related field
- Experience in relational databases, contract terminology, and data analysis preferred
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience in data analysis and attention to detail, with ability to maintain accurate records and reports
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with occasional weekend and evening hours required
- Pre-employment background screening, drug screen, and COVID-19 vaccine compliance required
