Overview

Security Operations Specialist (Physical, Personnel, Special, SAP, and Industrial Security Operations)

Location:
Fort Liberty, NC

Clearance:
Active TS/SCI


Conduct comprehensive intelligence analysis and production, while collaborating with Combatant Command and Intelligence Community partners to enhance situational awareness and meet the unique operational and tactical intelligence needs of Special Operations Forces (SOF).


Key Responsibilities

  • Support, oversee, and provide guidance on all facets of security operations.
  • Strategize and assist in the execution of security measures at the Top-Secret level and above, ensuring that personnel (Military, Civilians, and Contractors) and all associated tenant organizations are equipped to function in unconventional environments for critical contingency operations.
  • Individuals in this role will create detailed technical strategies and methodologies related to security initiatives.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • A minimum of six (6) years of experience in Physical, Personnel, and Special Security within the Department of Defense or equivalent governmental entities, with a preference for operational experience.
  • Proficiency in conducting personnel background investigations for both collateral and special security clearance processes, including:
  • Developing and ensuring adherence to automated information systems security protocols.
  • Proposing, implementing, and monitoring adherence to specialized security policies and procedures.
  • Coordinating and delivering training for special security representatives.
  • Acting as a liaison with governmental and industrial security officials overseeing collateral and higher access and badge protocols.
  • Experience in compartmented programs within the Department of Defense, U.S. Intelligence Community, or supporting U.S. Contractors is required.
  • Background in security training or security assessments is highly advantageous.
  • Extensive experience in planning and accrediting facilities according to the ICD 7051 standard.
  • Comprehensive understanding of all security processes.
  • Experience in briefing personnel on security practices, concepts, and programs, with a strong ability to apply sound judgment in resolving security challenges.
  • Must possess a thorough knowledge of security policies and procedures, including the National Industrial Security Program Supplement and DoD Volumes 1-3.
  • A valid U.S. Passport and compliance with travel visa requirements are necessary.
