Senior Product Owner Role

We are seeking a dedicated Product Owner to contribute to the success of a thriving technology firm.

In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping and executing our product strategy. Your responsibilities will include defining and prioritizing product functionalities, managing the backlog, and determining the sequence of feature rollouts. Your focus will be on delivering a high-quality software solution that meets business needs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Design, and Marketing, to ensure the delivery of impactful software solutions.

This position offers a hybrid work model with opportunities for remote work.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Product Strategy Development: Collaborate with the Product Manager and leadership to create and communicate a coherent product strategy that aligns with organizational goals and user requirements.
  • Backlog Oversight: Manage and prioritize the product backlog, focusing on features, enhancements, and bug fixes based on business impact, user feedback, and technical factors.
  • User Story Creation: Develop clear and concise user stories, acceptance criteria, and requirements to guide the Development team effectively.
  • Collaboration Across Teams: Engage with Engineering, Design, Marketing, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of product features and enhancements.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the main point of contact for internal stakeholders, keeping them updated on the product strategy, progress, and any modifications.
  • Release Coordination: Partner with the Development team to plan and execute product releases, ensuring timely delivery of features that meet quality expectations.
  • Continuous Enhancement: Regularly assess product performance, gather insights, and iterate on features to enhance user experience and drive engagement.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and dependencies in the product development lifecycle and proactively work to mitigate them.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Product Owner in a Software/Technology organization.
  • 3+ years of experience in Product Strategy Development (from concept to launch).
  • 2+ years of experience with project management tools such as JIRA and/or Trello.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent certifications.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Understanding of UX/UI design principles.
  • Experience in a cloud-based environment.
